Why Choose Viking Canal Boats?

Exclusivity

No two Viking crafts are the same. Each boat is designed for you, using your input. Every specification of the narrowboat or wide beam canal boat is discussed with the customer before the build starts, down to the smallest detail. Our design team is often able to transform your dreams into reality. Everything on board will be handmade, which gives us the flexibility to accommodate your wishes. Viking deliberately restricts the number of boats it builds. Individuality makes Viking stand out from the crowd.

Value for money

A like for like comparison with boats from other builders invariably shows that Viking boats represent excellent value for money. We strive to provide our customers with all life’s little luxuries at the best possible prices without compromising quality. We offer our customers a wide choice of fixtures and fittings to suit their lifestyle and their budget. At the boatyard, we put our heart and soul into ensuring that every boat we create - is finished to the highest standards and craftsmanship. Quality, durability, individuality, and exclusivity seems to be expensive. The Viking customer gets all that for a reasonable price.

Experience

All boats are custom built from scratch. Piotr, a Marine Chief Engineer with international experience in the marine and civil engineering sectors, manages our design and production teams. He successfully uses the acquired knowledge and expertise both in designing and supervising the boats we build.

Safety

Safety is our number one priority; that's why we design our hulls to meet extreme conditions. Whatever your wishes, we will not compromise on safety. We may find solutions, however, that you thought would never be possible.

Built to Last

For the construction of our hulls, we use only certified steel of the highest quality, supplied exclusively by a German multinational conglomerate Thyssen Krupp. Standard building procedures include welding techniques used for seagoing vessels, sandblasting the entire hull (including the underside), applying the best possible anti-corrosion products. We use natural wooden products to handcraft all walls, cupboards, and kitchen cabinets. All wooden elements are hand sprayed, and quality checked.

After Sales Support

If something goes wrong, we will take care of any warranty issues for you. We visit our customers together with our service team and their fully equipped workshop-van regularly. We also cooperate with numerous independent mobile service technicians, enabling us to react quickly in emergencies.

Long-term investment

Our boats are also a good investment, comparable to an investment in real estate. Usually, when sold on the secondary market, their price is higher or at a level similar to the purchase price.

All boats conform to the Recreational Craft Directive and come complete with a CE mark, plus a 12-months warranty with extended warranties on many parts and equipment.
